Before booking your appointment, please let us know if any of the following apply. * Pregnancy or breastfeeding * Use of photosensitive medications (e.g. Accutane, doxycycline, St John’s Wort) * Use of topical retinoids (Retin-A, Differin, Tretinoin) within 2 weeks * Current or recent cancer (within 12 months) * History of keloid or hypertrophic scarring * Uncontrolled diabetes * Bleeding disorders or use of anticoagulants * Epilepsy triggered by light * Metal implants or pacemaker in the treatment area * Autoimmune or connective-tissue disorders (e.g. lupus) * History of melasma, hyperpigmentation, or vitiligo To avoid disruption to your appointment, please review the list below carefully. The following factors may delay, prevent, or result in cancellation of your treatment (and cancellation fees may apply if this occurs): *Recent waxing, plucking, or threading (within 4 weeks) *Recent microneedling, chemical peel, dermaplaning, or microblading (within 4 weeks) *Use of topical retinoids (Retin-A, Differin, Tretinoin) within 2 weeks *Use of fake tan or self-tanning products (within 2 weeks) *Current use of antibiotics or other photosensitive medication (e.g. Accutane, doxycycline, St John’s Wort) *Recent sunburn, peeling, or excessive sun exposure *Botox or dermal filler in the same area (within 2 weeks) *Use of supplements that increase light sensitivity (e.g. fish oils, garlic, or ginkgo biloba) *Active eczema, psoriasis, burns, or dermatitis *Active skin infection, rash, or inflammation in the treatment area *Open wounds, cuts, or abrasions on the treatment area
Cancellation Policy
These policies protect your appointment, respect our time, and ensure a smooth experience for all clients. By booking at Brow Ability, you confirm you’ve read and accepted the terms below. Proceeding with payment constitutes agreement. Booking Fee A £75 non-refundable booking fee is required for first-time semi-permanent makeup appointments. This secures your slot and is deducted from your treatment cost. Some treatments require full payment upfront - we’ll let you know when this applies. The same terms apply whether you pay a booking fee or full amount online. Late Arrival Policy We operate a strict 10-minute cut-off. Appointments are timed to ensure quality results and cannot be shortened. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, your appointment will be cancelled and payment forfeited. Please rebook via our online system. This is applied fairly to all clients. No-Show Policy A no-show means not attending without notice. The full treatment fee will be charged or retained, depending on your booking. By booking, you authorise us to collect any balance owed. Cancellations & Rescheduling 72+ hours’ notice: Reschedule for free via your Members Portal. Any payment already made will simply carry over to your new date. If the reschedule option no longer appears online, it means this window has passed and a fee will be incurred to reschedule. 48 - 72 hours’ notice: A £75 reschedule fee applies (or treatment cost, whichever is lower). 24 hours, same-day cancellations, or no-shows: A 100% cancellation fee or no-show fee applies. This includes late arrivals beyond 10 minutes. Out-of-Hours Appointments Bookings before 9:30am or after 5:00pm incur a £10 fee. Previous Brow Work If you’ve had prior brow tattooing or microblading, you must email a clear photo to contact@browability.com before booking. Failure to do so may result in cancellation and full payment being charged. If correctional work is required, a £75 correction fee applies. We may decline bookings where previous work may affect results.
